2008 RIVER OF JOY Short-Term Mission Trip
October 11 - 19, 2008
The 2008 RIVER OF JOY ministry trip will continue relationship building with other ministries located at Pine Ridge as in previous years. During this trip we will spend time praying and encouraging the pastors and ministry leaders who live in the battle field daily facing obstacles and persevering for the greater cause. Most of all, we will be available to the Holy Spirit for His leading and timing of all activities.
Jesus said "Go into all the Nations" which also means different Nations right here at home including the Lakota Nation. This is your opportunity to walk in faith, helping to bring healing and restoration to the hurting families living on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
This is considered a missionary trip for ministry. Gifts that you and your friends make toward the cost of your trip are tax deductible. All application forms can be obtained at the below links or from the RIVER OF JOY office:
Once accepted for the trip, the cost per person is estimated at $850 which includes motel lodging, food, and on-site transportation. Airfare to Rapid City, South Dakota will be calculated separately as prices vary depending on departure location of the traveler. The traveler will only be expected to pay the exact price of the ticket. For planning purposes please estimate about $600. A ROJ representative will coordinate with you for exact pricing. Additionally, we suggest bringing personal funds for gifts and souvenirs. You will be notified of the exact cost ASAP
Airfare fees are due by August 11. Half of the remaining trip fee ($450)
is due by September 1; all monies are due by October 1. Cash and checks are accepted. No credit card payments are available at this time.
Listed trip cost is non-refundable unless RIVER OF JOY, Inc. cancels trip. If
you cancel, monies raised may be escrowed for up to one year for future
use but NOT refunded.
